The Facts:
Favre's success in today's win over the Lions came with a price. He was sacked twice and took several big shots from Lions players. This included a second quarter hit from Lions LB Julian Peterson that resulted in a fumble. That was negated when Peterson was called for unnecessary roughness. Favre got up holding his right arm but stayed in the game. "I got a stinger," Favre said. "A pinched nerve or a stinger. I don't know if you've ever had one. It's kind of like you hit your funny bone and it's not funny. That's what that was."

Favre was feeling the general beating after the game. "There are sometimes right after a game I may have gotten one time but I felt like I got hit 20," he said. "I know more than anything I'm probably the most fatigued I've been. Just dehydrated and I think getting up off the ground, struggling to get away and make throws. ..." The good news? Favre will have plenty of time to get it back together with the Vikings enjoying a much-needed Week 4 bye.
