Ocmulgee (Ga.) Judicial Circuit District Attorney Fred Bright has just made the official announcement. Roethlisberger will not be charged with sexual assault, because the case against him cannot be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.

Although he won't be prosecuted, we'll remind you that ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports that Roethlisberger still may be disciplined under the Personal Conduct Policy -- and/or punished by the Steelers -- even if he's not charged. Also, as previously noted here, Mortensen reported earlier today that Commissioner Roger Goodell will meet with Roethlisberger later this week -- and it should be noted that Bright's description of the events that transpired don't put Roethlisberger in an especially good light; indeed, the details are embarrassing at best. ...
