NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora is reporting that Carr has agreed to terms on a two-year deal with the 49ers.

Carr spent Friday and Saturday visiting with the 49ers, but left without a contract. The deal was subsequently struck and is also being confirmed by ESPN. ... Carr spent five seasons with the Texans before stops with the Panthers (2007) and Giants (2008-09). Carr is expected to backup Alex Smith. Carr was earlier linked to the Browns and Cardinals, but appears to have a desire to be near home. Carr’s younger brother will play for Fresno State this fall.
