According to ESPN.com blogger James Walker, Davis was briefly hospitalized and released Saturday. The team is describing the ailment as a head injury. ... Davis is expected to spell starter Jamal Lewis this season, but his status for Week 1 is unknown at this point. That could be an issue with Jerome Harrison (knee) also questionable and the only other tailback on the roster, Cedric Peerman, listed as doubtful with an injured thigh.
