According to the report, the Broncos also have informed interested teams that getting a quarterback in exchange isn't a necessity. That would suggest the team is prepared to go with Chris Simms, an available free agent (Jeff Garcia? Byron Leftwich? Rex Grossman??) or an as yet unknown rookie as their starting quarterback this season. While we're not on board with Cutler's tactics in this affair, the Broncos' owner Pat Bowlen might be cutting off his proverbial nose to spite his face on this one.
