With right guard Rob Sims heading to IR with a torn pectoral muscle, the Seahawks have used the roster spot to sign Parker.

Parker, who played at Oregon, was a fourth-round draft choice by the Chiefs in 2004 and caught 110 passes in four seasons in KC. He was signed by the Broncos in the offseason, but released Aug. 25. The Panthers signed him the next day, but they released him Aug. 30. Parker was one of the six receivers the Seahawks had in for workouts Tuesday.
