Chiefs Give Hill Permission To Seek Trade; Jets, Dolphins Closing In
The Kansas City Chiefs have given wide receiver Tyreek Hill's camp permission to seek a trade after contract extension talks stalled, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero first reported Wednesday.

Rapoport adds that this development comes despite an offer from the Chiefs that would make Hill one of the highest-paid receivers in the NFL.

The Jets and Dolphins are in “serious talks” to acquire Hill, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Schefter added multiple teams were approached about a potential Hill trade, but the New York and Miami have emerged in recent days as the two finalists.

Hill has emerged as one of the league's premier deep threats over the course of his six-year career, producing career totals of 479 receptions, 6,630 receiving yards and 56 touchdowns.

If the Chiefs are to trade Hill, one player who could help replace him is former Packers receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling. Pelissero reports Valdes-Scantling is on a free-agent visit with Kansas City on Wednesday.

The Chiefs have also signed former Steelers receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster in free agency.

Beyond that, the team has Mecole Hardman, Josh Gordon, Justin Watson, Cornell Powell, Dieter Gehrig and Corey Coleman on the roster.
