J.K. Dobbins Suffered Season-Ending Torn ACL
Running back J.K. Dobbins underwent MRI for a left knee injury sustained Saturday night, and according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the exam confirmed Dobbins suffered a season-ending torn ACL.

Dobbins was ruled out for the rest of the Ravens' 37-3 rout of Washington on Saturday night after suffering the injury on the opening drive.

A season-ending injury is a massive blow to the Ravens' run-heavy offense.

A 2020 second-round pick, Dobbins was entering his first season as Baltimore's featured back. Last season, Dobbins was pivotal in the Ravens' late-season push to reach the playoffs, gaining 425 yards (eighth in the NFL) and scoring six touchdowns in the final five regular-season games.

Last year, Dobbins averaged 6.0 yards per carry, the second-highest average by a rookie running back over the past 20 seasons, according to ESPN Stats and Information research. Only the Saints' Alvin Kamara (6.1) had a higher average as a rookie.

With Dobbins' season over, it's time to start looking ahead at what the Ravens will do if it is indeed a torn ACL.

If Dobbins is done for the year, Gus Edwards becomes the primary tailback (check our latest Staff Rankings). The Ravens will then have to decide whether to push Justice Hill, Ty'son Williams and rookie Nate McCrary up the depth chart higher or to attempt to sign a veteran, to make a trade, or to pursue one of the players who will be released between now and Tuesday afternoon.

According to Profootballtalk.com, the first name to watch is Todd Gurley. The 2017 NFL offensive player of the year visited Baltimore in June, leaving without a deal.
