Howard Traded To Eagles
Jordan Howard has been traded from the Bears to the Eagles.

Philly has announced that they have secured the rights to Howard in exchange for a conditional 2020 draft pick.

As Profootballtalk.com noted, Howard was entering the final year of his contract with the Bears; his production decreased in 2018, with the first sub-1,000-yard rushing performance of his career.

That’s leaves Tarik Cohen and former Seahawk Mike Davis as Chicago’s top two backs heading into the draft while Howard joins a crowded field in Philadelphia.

The Eagles seemed to have the position under control with Jay Ajayi, but he tore an ACL last year and currently is unsigned. Howard’s arrival will almost certainly end any thoughts Ajayi might return to the club.

Among the players still on Philly’s roster, Corey Clement, Josh Adams and Wendell Smallwood were all asked to chip in last season with all three having their moments but with none of them able to produce on a consistent basis.

Beyond that, the team signed Boston Scott this offseason and Donnel Pumphrey is still on board. Darren Sproles’ future with the club remains uncertain.
