McCoy Suddenly Embroiled In Allegations Of Violence
The Buffalo Bills and the NFL are investigating allegations made against LeSean McCoy by an unidentified woman on Instagram, claims which the star running back has denied.

In response to inquiries from ESPN and ABC News into McCoy and the alleged victim, police in Milton, Georgia, released a statement saying they were investigating an early morning home invasion in the Atlanta suburb that sent an unidentified woman to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

Police also said a second woman sustained a minor injury during the incident.

"The preliminary investigation indicates that this residence was specifically targeted by the suspect or suspects, and not a random incident," police said in the statement. "When officers arrived they found one victim who had been physically assaulted by a lone intruder. During the altercation, the suspect demanded specific items from the victim."

Police did not identify any suspect in what was termed an active investigation.

According to ESPN.com’s Mike Rodak, court records show that McCoy owns a home on the street of the incident as identified by police.

Meanwhile, the victim's lawyer released a statement claiming his client, Delicia Cordon, was the subject of the invasion of a home owned by McCoy in Georgia, and that the thief stole jewelry from the victim.

“The assailant demanded specific items of jewelry that had been previously gifted to Ms. Cordon by Mr. McCoy, which Mr. McCoy had requested back on many occasions,” the statement from the attorney explains. “In fact, after Ms. Cordon refused to return her jewelry gifts to Mr. McCoy, he would often suggest to Ms. Cordon that she could be robbed because the jewelry was expensive.”

As Profootballtalk.com’s Mike Florio notes, even though the statement apparently doesn’t come out and say it, the implication is inescapable: The lawyer believes McCoy orchestrated the invasion of his home and the ensuring robbery of and attack on Cordon.

If true, Florio added, “McCoy likely has played his last down of NFL football.”

Needless to say, we'll continue to watch for more.
