Unfortunately, injuries are part of Football and pretty much every week, players go down. This week was no different. At times, some of the injuries are minor, while at others it can impact a player for multiple weeks, and even for the entire season.

Fantasy owners who lost players that are expected to miss significant time, adjustments need to be made, and the waiver wire will be your best friend.

With that said, let’s take a look at some of this week’s injuries and the impact of the injury.

A.J. Green – Bengals: Green was carted off the field during Sunday’s game against the Broncos and never returned. He was spotted in a walking boot on Monday and shortly after it was reported that he will undergo season-ending surgery to repair torn ligaments in his foot. The timeline for the recovery is 3-4 months. This is a big blow to the Bengals and Green owners. Tyler Boyd will operate as the team’s No. 1 wide out.

Christian Kirk – Cardinals: Kirk broke his foot in Sunday's win over the Packers, ending his season. He finished his first NFL season with 43 receptions for 590 yards and three touchdowns. This is a tough loss for the Cardinals as Kirk was developing as a steady contributor on this offense. Barring any setbacks, he should be ready for the start of next season.

James Conner – Steelers: Conner suffered a lower leg contusion in Sunday’s loss to the Chargers. Initial reports suggest that the injury is not serious, but is certainly a situation to monitor. We should know more as the week progresses. The Steelers face the Raiders in Week 14, which is a phenomenal matchup for Conner. If he cannot give it a go, Jaylen Samuels and Stevan Ridley are next in line.

Matt Breida – 49ers: Breida aggravated the ankle injury he has been nursing during pregame warmups this past Sunday. Even though he was able to play through it, he only had eight touches in the game. He has already been ruled out for Week 14 and Jeff Wilson will likely draw the start, as he received the bulk of the carries in Week 13. If you were dependent of Breida, you may want to consider adding Wilson off of the waivers this week.

Greg Olsen – Panthers: Olsen left Sunday’s game with a foot injury and never returned. It was later reported that he suffered a ruptured plantar fascia. Even though this is a different injury from his previous foot injury, it is reportedly stemming from it. This injury could force Olsen to miss the remainder of the season. We should have an official word on his status early in the week.

Colt McCoy – Redskins: McCoy left Monday night’s game with a lower leg injury. After the half it was reported that X-Rays revealed a fractured fibula, ending his season. Mark Sanchez replaced McCoy on Monday night and will likely be the Redskins starter the rest of the way.
