NFL WEEK 3 INJURIES

QUARTERBACKS:

Mac Jones (Ankle) - Mac Jones had to hop off the field after Sunday's game. After the game, it was reported by Adam Schefter that Jones is believed to have suffered a high-ankle sprain. Jones will undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of the injury.

Tua Tagovailoa (Head) - Tua briefly left Sunday's game after taking a nasty hit in the first half but was able to return in the second half.

RUNNING BACKS:

Dalvin Cook (Shoulder) - Cook suffered a shoulder injury on Sunday and could not finish the game. Tom Pelissero reported after that Cook suffered a dislocated shoulder again and will try and play with a harness next week.

Joe Mixon (Ankle) - Mixon suffered an ankle injury at the end of Sunday's game, but it is not expected to be serious. The Bengals play on Thursday night, which is worth noting because of the short week.

David Montgomery (Knee/Ankle) - Montgomery left Sunday's game with a knee/ankle injury and did not return.

D'Andre Swift (Shoulder) - Swift suffered a shoulder sprain and could miss time, per Tom Pelissero.

WIDE RECEIVER

A.J. Green (Knee) - Green left the game in the third quarter and did not return.

Jaylen Guyton (ACL) - Chargers WR Jaylen Guyton tore his ACL on Sunday.

Tee Higgins (Head) - Higgins took a nasty hit early in Sunday's game but was able to return and finish the game.

Jarvis Landry (Foot) - Landry injured his foot and could not return. He is dealing with soreness, but the injury is not believed to be serious.

Byron Pringle (Calf) - Pringle injured his calf in week three.

Tre'Quan Smith (Concussion) - Tre'Quan Smith suffered a concussion in Sunday's game.

Michael Thomas (Toe) - Thomas suffered a toe injury on Sunday afternoon. The injury is not believed to be serious.

Garrett Wilson (Ribs) - Wilson left the game with a rib injury but was able to return and finish the game.

TIGHT END:

Dallas Goedert (Shin) - Goedert left Sunday's game with a shin injury but was able to return in the second half.

WEEK 4 WAIVER WIRE:

QUARTERBACKS:

Marcus Mariota (ATL) - Somehow, Mariota is just 28.5% owned in NFL Fantasy leagues. He's scored 19.80, 13.44, and 15.56 fantasy points through the first three weeks of the season. He's showing that he still has that mobile ability we all look for to help boost the floor in our fantasy QBs. He faces off against the Browns, Buccaneers, and 49ers over the next three weeks. If you're in a pinch at the position, he's a great get.

Jimmy Garoppolo (SF) - 49ers starting QB Trey Lance went down with an injury in week two, and now it's time for Garoppolo to take over. We know Garoppolo is a capable game manager that won't necessarily hurt your teams if you are in a pinch. Over his next three weeks, he faces LA, CAR, and ATL, which are solid matchups.

Also consider:
Trevor Lawrence (JAX)

RUNNING BACKS:

Khalil Herbert (CHI) - With starting RB David Montgomery exiting the game early in the first quarter, Herbert stepped up for the Bears. Herbert had 20 attempts for 157 yards and two TDs on the day. Now, we can't quite expect that production every week, but it shows he clearly has upside if Montgomery were to miss any significant time.

Alexander Mattison (MIN) - Another starting RB who was injured in week three was Vikings RB Dalvin Cook. Cook had a shoulder injury late and did not return. Mattison is the next man up for the Vikings right now. This is a new scheme for Mattison, so the production might not quite be what it's been in the past, but he would likely still see enough volume to be an RB2 or better if Cook is to miss any amount of time.

Jamaal Williams (DET) - Swift is currently dealing with a shoulder injury and could miss some time. Williams has shown he can be effective in this offense with the right opportunity. He's scored 16, 7, and 24.70 fantasy points with Swift in the lineup in three games this season. If Williams is going to see more opportunities with Swift possibly missing time, he's a fine addition to a fantasy squad. At just 31.9% owned in NFL fantasy leagues, please make sure Williams is not on the waiver wire after this week.

Also Consider:
Brian Robinson (WAS), Nyheim Hines (IND)

WIDE RECEIVERS:

Chris Olave (NO) - The Saints had some injuries to their receivers in week three, as Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry both exited this game. Olave had to step up, and finished with a monstrous day, hauling in nine receptions for 147 yards. He's going to show the world why he was a first-round pick. Make sure he's on your roster, as his role has been increasing each and every week this season regardless.

Romeo Doubs (GB) - Doubs led the Packers in receiving on Sunday, hauling in eight receptions for 73 yards and a touchdown. Doubs also had eight targets on the day. The Packers are looking for some receiver to step up, and Doubs has answered the call early on. Keep an eye on the fourth-round rookie.

Zay Jones (JAX) - Jones was mentioned in the week one version of this article, and the receiver finds himself back here in week three. Jones had 10 receptions for 85 yards and a touchdown on Sunday, showing that he's clearly one of the top targets on the Jaguars. He's a great addition to teams lacking depth right now.

Also Consider:
Nico Collins (HOU), Michael Gallup (DAL), Devin Duvernay (BAL)

TIGHT ENDS:

David Njoku (CLE) - Coming in at just 16.6% owned in NFL Fantasy leagues, David Njoku is one of the top waiver wire additions at the TE position this week. He had 10 targets, nine catches for 89 yards and a TD on Sunday. The production might be inconsistent, but if your TE is injured, Njoku is a nice addition with matchups against the Falcons, Chargers and Patriots upcoming.

Also Consider:
Evan Engram (JAX), Tyler Conklin (NYJ)
