DFS Tournament Game Breakdown 2020 Week 12

Quarterback

Tom Brady, TB

The matchup of Kansas City and Tampa Bay is going to be one of the most popular games to target with stacks this week but most of the ownership will likely gravitate toward the Kansas City side. The total currently sits at 55.5 points, second-highest of the main slate. Brady has been slumping lately but is still top-five in yards and touchdown. Buy the dip on Brady at lowered ownership in a great spot.

Josh Allen, BUF

Allen will likely be among the more popular quarterbacks but three are ways to differentiate builds with him, making him a viable tournament play despite the ownership. Allen has simply been too good this year to leave out of your player pool. He is top-10 in yards per attempt, yards per game, and touchdowns per game, all while adding 7.2 carries for 27.9 yards and .5 touchdowns per game on the ground. His matchup with Justin Herbert and the Chargers has a 53.5-point total.

Running Back

Josh Jacobs, LV

Jacobs and the Raiders are field goal favorites over the lowly Falcons this week. When the Raiders have won this year, Jacobs has been a monster. He averages 21.4 PPR points on the back of 23.5 carries for 1.3 touchdowns and 93.8 yards. As long as the Raiders win this game, Jacobs is going to get fed.

Jonathan Taylor, IND

Last week, the Colts finally let Taylor run wild and they were rewarded with 114 yards from scrimmage on 26 touches. He played his second-most snaps in an NFL game and saw 69% of the Colts’ running back carries. Indianapolis is favored by 3.5 points over the Titans and Tennessee is allowing the ninth-most DraftKings points to running backs this year.

Wide Receiver

Gabriel Davis, BUF

John Brown is trending toward being out this week opening massive value with Davis at $3,000 on DraftKings. Davis is the only Buffalo receiver outside of the main three with more than 20 targets on the year. Davis is averaging 8.9 yards per target, far beyond Brown’s mark on the season and in line with Stefon Diggs’ efficiency. In tournaments, double-stacking Davis and Diggs with Allen should be a unique, high-ceiling approach.

Antonio Brown, TB

After three games of the AB experiment, this is how the volume has been distributed:
? Mike Evans - 17 targets, 146 air yards
? Chris Godwin - 12 targets, 128 air yards
? Brown, 13 targets, 165 air yards
Brown leads the team in air yards because of his 12.7 aDOT but Brady has been struggling with his deep ball in recent weeks. We have a fairly large sample of Brady being an accurate passer at all levels. If his recent downturn is simply a blip on the radar, Brown will be in for a big day soon.

Tight End

Hayden Hurst, AT

If playing Jacobs, there are two ways to increase correlation in your lineups. One is to buy the pass-catchers in Atlanta. Hurst burned his backers last week with a doughnut in the box score but he is still 14th in target share among tight ends on a team throwing 38.9 pass attempts per game, fifth-most in the league.

Jordan Reed, SF

Reed’s return to the lineup in Week 9 was quiet but his role increased in his second game back two weeks ago. He was targeted six times and converted that into five catches for 62 yards. He also played on 31 snaps. The last time he played more snaps in a game was Week 12 of 2019.

Defense

Las Vegas Raiders

The other way to correlate your lineups with Jacobs is to play him with his defense. Matt Ryan is averaging .7 interceptions and 2.7 sacks per game. If the Raiders defense is able to control the time of possession but getting to Ryan, that’s more carries and yards for Jacobs to rack up.
