DFS GPP STACKS WEEK 3 2022

It was a good stacking week in DFS last week, and we have some tasty matchups on tap in week 3. Unfortunately I will not be around for the usual DFS show tonight on YouTube, but Eric and Emil have you covered! Make sure to follow me on twitter @jac3600 and check out all the amazing content at Football Diehards!

BUFFALO BILLS AT MIAMI DOLPHINS

BILLS

This is the top game stack on the slate with dynamic options on both sides. Josh Allen (33.1 DK PPG) has been in a tier of his own this season at QB, and is going to be quite popular paired with Stefon Diggs who is just mispriced based on his playing on Monday night. Through two games, Diggs has 20 catches on 25 targets for 270 yards and 4 TDs, which is good for the overall WR1 in PPR. He has a matchup with Xavien Howard on tap who is not 100%, and Diggs’ precise route-running basically renders him matchup-proof. Allen can also be paired with both Gabriel Davis and Dawson Knox, but I’d stay clear of Isaiah McKenzie and Jamison Crowder who are crushing each other’s values.

Devin Singletary is ok to differentiate off the much more popular passing game, but his upside is cut into in the red zone with Josh Allen present, and Zack Moss has been stealing passing work.

DOLPHINS

The Miami side worried me a little this week, even after being the optimal stack in week two as Tua/Tyreek/Waddle went nuclear. The Bills’ defense has been crushing opponents thus far, including the defending champ Rams, but they have a LOT of their top players out this week. Micah Hyde, TreDavious White, Dane Jackson, Ed Oliver, and Jordan Phillips are all out, and Tim Settle and Jordan Poyer both seem to be on the doubtful side of their questionable tags. This puts the Miami skill players right back to the top of the priority list as this game has shootout written all over it. Mike Gesicki is in play as well, but the Bills’ LBs are still intact, so I’m still opting on the “no” side with him.

The Miami RBs have been a revolving door so far, so I’d exercise caution. Of the two, Edmonds seems the more likely one to get work in a fast-paced shootout, so he’s fine in MME.

STACK IDEAS

Allen/Diggs/Davis w/ Tyreek or Waddle
Allen/Diggs/Knox w/Tyreek or Waddle

Tua/Tyreek/Waddle w/ Diggs
Tua/Tyreek/Waddle w/ Davis
Tua/Tyreek/Edmonds w/ Diggs

MINNESOTA VIKINGS AT DETROIT LIONS

VIKINGS

This is the other game I’m uber-high on. Cousins loses a bit of luster compared to some of the rushing QBs that we’re so heavily on this week, but he gets the prime matchup against Detroit who are ranked dead last in overall defense, have allowed the fourth most FPPG to QBs, and the sixth most to WRs. Justin Jefferson is once again in competition for the top WR on the slate, and his ownership % is low based on his “almost as much as Kupp, way more than Diggs” price tag. Use him with confidence in stacks, as Detroit stopping him is laughable. Adam Thielen has (predictably) regressed, but is fine to use in stacks, as is Irv Smith who launched himself back on the scene with a 5-34-1 line on eight targets. At $3100, he’s going to be very popular.

Dalvin Cook is my overall RB1 this week against Detroit who allowed the most FPPG to RBs a year ago and are even worse in run defense so far this year. Cook is playing almost a 70% snap share and is involved in the passing game, so he can be used in stacks or as a bringback to DET lineups.

LIONS

The Lions have been in shootouts both games this week, and Harrison Smith’s absence for Minnesota is going to help them here too. Amon-Ra St. Brown is priced JUST high enough to be a bit uncomfortable for cash, but he’s one of the best GPP plays with 24 targets and a massive snap and air yards share. If TJ Hockenson plays, he’s in a tremendous spot against the Vikes who won’t have Smith, and had allowed the tenth most FPPG to TEs anyway. DJ Chark has MME appeal against a slow secondary - he has HR potential all over the place.

D’Andre Swift is in a tremendous spot. The Vikings have allowed 5.3 YPC, the sixth most receptions to RBs, and the 11th most FPPG. Jamaal Williams also should not be overlooked as he (yes, you’re about the read this right) leads the NFL in red zone carries with nine already through two games. Both can be used in bringbacks, and Swift works in Detroit stacks with the PPR aspect.
