Week 5

(DraftKings Main Slate)

Quarterbacks

Tom Brady vs. Falcons ($6,000)

Finally it looks like Tom Brady can somewhat relax week 5 as he gets the Falcons at home. The Falcons are the third worst team in pressure rate and giving up the tenth most fantasy points to quarterbacks. Brady gashed the Falcons last seasoning averaging close to 29 Fantasy Points per outing. I’ll be stacking Brady with Mike Evans in multiple lineups.

Carson Wentz vs. Titans ($5,700)

Carson Wentz has struggled the past two weeks and in fantasy land, that sour taste will be in mouths. The first two weeks of the season he averaged 32 DraftKings points, and he’ll get a Titans pass defense at home that is bottom-five. We have yet to see a Terry McLaurin explosion, but It is on the horizon. Curtis Samuel has been solid, and Logan Thomas has sufficed. I’ll be using Carson Wentz with Terry McLaurin in stacks this weekend with both of them coming in low owned.

Running Backs

James Robinson vs. Texans ($6,300)

James Robinson will face a Houston run defense that is allowing 141 rushing yards 1.25 rushing touchdowns per game, and has allowed two 150-yard rushing games. After a week 4 dud against the stout Eagles, look for Robinson to get his 20ish touch work load. Robinson appears to be a cash game lock in a nice bounce back spot.

Damien Harris vs. Lions ($5,600)

Damien Harris and the Quarterback-less Patriots will face a Lions run defense, at home, that ranks as the worst in the league. The Patriots are a run oriented football team with Mac Jones, and without him it’s their only identity. It is a guessing game which running back will get the bulk of touches between Rhamondre Stevenson ($5,500) and Damien Harris, but they are both firmly in play. Having exposure to both running backs is a nice hedge and insurance plan on the cheap. Harris has a respectable 275 yards and three touchdowns and an elevated floor with 12-plus opportunities in each game.

Wide Receivers

Chris Olave vs. Seahawks ($5,700)

Chris Olave has jumped right into the NFL wide receiver scene with 33 targets over the last three weeks, and has stepped in nicely for Michael Thomas. Olave will get a Seahawks defense week 5 that is No. 28 in pass DVOA against No. 1 wide receivers (35.4%). Whether we see Jameis Winston or Andy Dalton, they have both looked towards Olave early and often. Depending on ownership, he is firmly in play for both cash games and tournament builds.

Chris Godwin vs. Falcons ($5,900)

We may see “Angry Tom” Brady this weekend as the Buccaneers get the Falcons at home. Chris Godwin has OWNED the Falcons with 35 catches for 558 yards and six touchdowns in his past five games. His injuries appear to be behind him, as he played more snaps than any other wide receiver in the league week 4. Sign me up for the Brady-Godwin connection at home Sunday.

Tight Ends

Logan Thomas vs. Titans ($3,200)

I’m using Carson Wentz this week with Terry McLaurin, and i’ll also including Logan Thomas to some double stacks. Thomas played 74% of the Commanders offensive snaps a week ago. The offense will be missing Jahan Dotson. He’s easing back into the offense after tearing his ACL last December. For the price I’m in. Primarily in my Carson Wentz stacks.

Tyler Higbee vs. Cowboys ($4,200)

Tyler Higbee is coming off a 14 target week four in a loss to the 49ers. Outside of Cooper Kupp, Matthew Stafford’s only source of stability has come from Tyler Higbee in spite of the Allen Robinson acquisition. Temper expectations in terms of upside with Higbee, but at his usage and price tag, sign me up.

Defense/Special Teams

Panthers vs. 49ers ($2,600)
