DFS Cash Game Breakdown 2020 Week 6

Quarterback

Andy Dalton, Dallas

The Cowboys lost Dak Prescott for the year due to an ankle injury. Dalton will step in under center and he played well as the backup in Week 5. He completed 9-of-11 passes for 111 yards. Dalton averaged 7.1 yards per attempt during his time with the Bengals. He now has the best set of weapons in the league with Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb, and Michael Gallup as his starting receivers. He also has to contend with his opponents more than most passers because of how soft the Dallas defense is. Most team score points at will leading to an increased amount of attempts from the Cowboys' quarterback. Despite missing some of Week 5, Prescott still leads quarterbacks in passes. Dalton is only $5,800 this week.
 

Matthew Stafford, Detroit

Stafford is simply too cheap based on the game environment he projects to be in this week. The Lions face the Jaguars. Detroit has a 28.5 implied team total and gets to face an injury-ravaged Jacksonville defense. The Jaguars are allowing their opponents to average 8.7 yards per attempt this year. That mark is 32nd in the league with a half-yard gap to 31st. Stafford is averaging 7.4 yards per attempt and has posted a 5.8% touchdown rate. Expect him to role against the Jags.
 

Running Back

Mike Davis, Carolina

The calculus is simple on Davis. He's being used like Christian McCaffrey but is priced like a lesser back. He's averaging 15 carries and a whopping 7.3 catches in three games as Carolina's starter. Davis only costs $7,000 on DraftKings.
 

Derrick Henry, Tennessee

Henry doesn't see much work as a receiver but his value as a runner more than makes up for that. He's been above 20 opportunities (carries plus targets) in every game this year. And has now scored in back-to-back games. The Titans are at home and favored versus the Texans this week. As long as they keep the game close, Tennessee's offense will continue to revolve around Henry.
 

Wide Receiver

Jeff Smith, New York Jets

Most casual players won't know who Smith is because his name sounds too generic to be real and he plays for the Jets. While the latter of those two facts is a hindrance for most players, the lack of receiving talent in New York has helped propel Smith to considerable volume. After missing the first three weeks with a shoulder injury. He's seen 20 targets in his two active games. Smith is a great punt play if Breshad Perriman is unable to suit up again this week.
Adam Thielen, Minnesota
The Vikings have preferred a run-heavy approach through five weeks but when they do choose to pass, they run through Thielen. He leads the NFL in target share (33.1%) and air yards share (48.3%). The Vikings have the highest implied team total of the slate at 29 points. Thielen also gets to face a horrid Atlanta secondary. Everything is lining up for a great game from Thielen this week.
 

Tight End

Logan Thomas, Washington

Tight end is a miserable position to look at this week with George Kittle, Travis Kelce, and Darren Waller all unavailable. The expensive options on the mains slate all have poor projections so it's best to just look for savings. Thomas is 5th in targets (32) and 9th in air yards (249) among tight ends. His $3,300 tag weighs the bad quarterback he's likely to see too heavily compared to the overall volume.
 

Evan Engram, New York Giants

Engram is priced as the No. 9 tight end on the DraftKings main slate but is seeing elite volume. His 32 targets are 5th among tight ends (tied with Thomas) and he's playing on 92% of his team's snaps. Engram has also run a route on every one of Daniel Jones' dropbacks.

Defense

Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals aren't among the most talented defenses in the league but their matchup versus Indianapolis this week is appealing. Rivers is outside of the top-20 quarterbacks in most efficiency metrics:
* Quarterback Rating - 89.4 - No. 22
* QBR - 57.6 - No. 23
* PFF Overall Offensive Grade - 67.4 - No. 24
Cincinnati is at home against a quarterback who's over the hill. They're $2,100 tag is worth the savings it generates.
