DFS Cash Game Breakdown 2019 Week 10

Quarterback

Ryan Tannehill, Tennessee Titans

Ryan Tannehill is probably still a bad quarterback based on six seasons of him being inefficient in Miami. However, he gets a matchup that should stave off any regression coming his way for at least one more week on Sunday. Tannehill and the Titans face Kansas City.

The Chiefs defense is bottom-10 in fantasy points allowed per game. This is in both Fanduel and DraftKings scoring.

On top of his passing production, Tannehill offers rushing equity as well. He has carried the ball 13 times in three starts. He salvaged a bad passing day last week with a 4-38-1 rushing line versus the Panthers.

Fire up Tannehill one more time this season as he takes on the Chiefs' weak passing defense.

Running Back

Christian McCaffrey, Carolina Panthers

Christian McCaffrey has officially broken the pricing algorithms across the industry. There is only one back to have been priced at his level on either of the main sites- and Todd Gurley at the peak of their powers-in the past four seasons.

McCaffrey's 52 targets on the season are more than Juju Smith-Schister or Calvin Ridley. That mark ranks third among running backs. He also leads the NFL in carries per game at 20.6.

McCaffrey has the highest floor of any back in the league and maybe of any back this decade. He's currently on pace to touch the ball 414 times this season. That would be the most touches in a season since 2014 when Demarco Murray had 449.

DFS sites may, at some points, find a price that is too high for McCaffrey in cash. They haven't done that this week.

Devin Singletary, Buffalo Bills

For the first time all season, Bills rookie Devin Singletary out-snapped and out-touched old man Frank Gore.

Singletary went for 140 yards from scrimmage. Gore hasn't topped that number since 2014. Singletary got there on his second career start. The Bills are looking ready to hand Singletary the reigns and it's long overdue.

Finally, Singletary has -played on at least 60% of the Bills' snaps in three games this season. His receiving lines in those games:

• 5-28
• 4-30-1
• 3-45-1

This week will be the last week Singletary is priced like a backup for a long time.
 

Wide Receiver

Jarvis Landry, Cleveland Browns

Jarvis Landry is quietly tied with Odell Beckham with 67 targets this season and is only 150 air yards behind the supposed No. 1 receiver in Cleveland. He has 10 more targets and air yards than Beckham over the past two weeks.

This week he and the Browns face Buffalo at home. While the Bills are known to have a stout pass defense, a lot of that reputation rests on the shoulders of Tre'Davious White. Their slot corner, who Landry will face off with for most of Sunday, is just inside PFF's top-50 players at the slot corner position.

Landry is underpriced as the 1b in Cleveland especially with Beckham drawing the difficult matchup and Landry getting the opposite.

Michael Thomas, New Orleans Saints

Normally, you have to prioritize paying up for running backs in cash. Their overall touch volume gives them a much higher floor. Michael Thomas has shattered that mold this season.

He hasn't had a game with fewer than 15 PPR points this season despite ging from Drew Brees to Teddy Bridgewater then back to Brees.

Christian McCaffrey, Dalvin Cook, and Leonard Fournette all have at least one game with fewer than 15 points.

Took the floor and pay whatever it costs to get Thomas in your lineups.

Tight End

Mike Gesicki, Miami Dolphins

There are no standouts a tight end this week in terms of value but there are players at other positions like Thomas and CMC that we're prioritizing. That means it's another week of paying down at the position.

Mike Gisecki has taken over a large role in recent weeks for the Dolphins. Over the past four weeks, he's eighth in targets (20) and third in air yards among tight ends (239).

Gesicki is in line for a Noah Fant like breakout this week.
 

Defense

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Bucs play the Cardinals this week as home favorites of 4.5 points. These are the two essentials for any cash game defense.

On top of that, the Cardinals are a great team to face for generating sacks. The Cardinalspassers (plural because Brett Hundley took a sack in garbage time) have been sacked 30 times this year, fourth-most in the NFL.

Kyler Murray has been phenomenal as a rookie but he's also been prone to getting wrapped up by defenders because of his mobility. Leverage this with the Tampa defense.
