The Facts: The Panthers are signing Foreman, a source tells NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Diehards Line:
Foreman emerged as an effective option in Tennessee last season. Signed to the practice squad after Derrick Henry went down, Foreman emerged as the Tians’ best back and worked his way onto the roster. Initially, Tennessee turned to 36-year-old Adrian Peterson to pick up the slack, but he was released after a three-game stint. From there, Foreman began to see increased touches, both on the ground and through the air. Over the final six weeks of the regular season, he rushed for 482 yards on 113 attempts. Overall, Foreman carried the ball 133 times for 566 yards with three touchdowns, and he crossed the 100-yard mark three times. In one year, Foreman went from not having much of a future in the NFL to possibly garnering a look as a starter elsewhere. That won't happen in Carolina unless Christian McCaffrey is injured or traded. We'll continue hoping he avoids the former while watching for indications the latter could come to pass.
