The Facts: Rodgers still doesn't feel like he can guarantee the Green Bay Packers will be his only NFL team. The reigning MVP, who said his future was uncertain after last season's NFC championship loss to the Bucs, reiterated he can't control what comes next in his career. "I said last year I didn't know if that was actually possible to be able to finish (my career with Green Bay)," Rodgers told ESPN's Kenny Mayne. "I still feel like that's kind of where we're at. I don't that a lot of that is in my hands, but. ... We'll kind of see as we go."

Diehards Line:He added: "Like I said last year, these things are just out of my control. The team has obviously the power to do what they want. My job is just to play as well as I can. I think there may have been ideas about what certain things meant last year; I just focus on my play." Rodgers won his third career MVP award last season after leading the NFL in pass completion rate (70.7 percent) and touchdowns (48). The nine-time Pro Bowler also tossed 4,299 yards while posting a 13-3 record. The 37-year-old reportedly sought a new contract with the Packers this offseason. He's currently signed through the 2023 season, but his deal includes a potential out following the 2021 campaign and would carry a cap hit of $39.8 million in 2022, according to Spotrac. HC Matt LaFleur said in February he believes Rodgers will "absolutely be here for a long time. ..." We'll all be watching to see what that ultimately means.
