The Facts: According to Associated Press beat writer Rob Maaddi, the Eagles are unsure about Hurts.
Diehards Line:
Maaddi went on to advise his Twitter followers there is no consensus in the building about Hurts' ability to serve as the starter. After beating the Saints, Maaddi contends, they wanted to get rid of Carson Wentz. After the next three losses, they wanted to work it out with Wentz. After trading Wentz, they considered a trade up for a QB before trading down to 12. As Profootballtalk.com notes, a trade up surely would have been aimed at landing a quarterback. It feels like the eventual trade down was aimed at removing the temptation to take one at No. 6. Regardless, it definitely seems like the Eagles lack clarity and certainty regarding their quarterback situation. ... It's something we'll be watching.
