The Facts: HC Zac Taylor, asked about Mixon today, told reporters: "Joe's good. He's working out. I know he feels really good right now."
Diehards Line:
Mixon is coming off of the worst season of his NFL career. He suffered a foot injury against the Colts in Week 6 and missed the rest of the year. He averaged 3.6 yards-per-carry in 2020, appearing in just six games. According to SI.com, Mixon believes 2021 is going to be much different. No one was more excited than him about the Bengals hiring Frank Pollack to be their offensive line coach and run game coordinator last month. Mixon averaged a career-best 4.9 yards-per-carry in 2018, which was Pollack's lone season in Cincinnati. So health will be the real concern here. And according to Taylor, Mixon is on track there.
