The Facts: After months of attempting to trade the former first-round pick, the Jaguars have released Fournette.
Diehards Line:The fourth-year man ran for 1,152 yards last year in 15 games last year, so he should get opportunities. But it won't be in Jacksonville. According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, the Jaguars like the young guys and the entire group in their running back room. Look for some kind of committee approach, at least to start the year. That committee will include Ryquell Armstead and Devine Ozigbo, a 6-2, 225-pounder who has looked good in camp. Chris Thompson should remain in the same pass-catching role he had prior to Fournette's release.
