The Facts: The Vikings have had some talks about a possible contract extension for Cook, entering the last year of his rookie deal. Sources expect those talks to ramp up after the Vikings get through free agency.
Diehards Line:
Cook remains the centerpiece of the Vikings offense, and with Gary Kubiak taking over the OC role, the expectations for Cook in 2020 will only rise. Cook compiled 1,135 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns on 250 attempts and 519 receiving yards on 53 catches in 14 games last season. Remember: Cook sat out the final two weeks. He also had fewer than 12 carries in three of the final four games he played. Despite the missed time, Cook ranked second behind Carolina's Christian McCaffrey among running backs in fantasy points per game (20.9). With Kubiak fully in charge, expect Cook's workload to remain sky-high.
