The Facts: The Titans reportedly are prepared to offer Tannehill a long-term contract and see him as their quarterback of the future, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.
Diehards Line:
Per Rapoport, the franchise tag could come into play if the two sides cannot quickly come to an agreement but it seems clear that Tannehill will be the starting quarterback in Tennessee in 2020. And he has definitely earned it, leading the Titans to a Wild Card playoff berth and finishing the regular season as the highest rated QB in the league (117.5) after taking over for Marcus Mariota in Week 7. Tannehill threw for 2,742 yards and 22 touchdowns against six interceptions.
