The Facts: Former Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Kyler Murray was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals with the top overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft.
Diehards Line:This comes to no surprise as many analyst anticipated the Cardinals would take Murray. The rookie quarterback is considered a good fit for new head coach Kliff Kingsbury’s offense. Murray will likely step right into the starting duties for Arizona and expectations will likely be high right away, considering the Cardinals used a first-round pick on QB Josh Rosen last season. We wouldn’t be shocked to see Arizona move Rosen at some point. Murray should be considered a first-round dynasty league draft pick and is an intriguing late-round/high-upside option in season-long leagues.
