The Facts: According to CBSSports.com insider Jason La Canfora, if the Jaguars and Dolphins -- who have starting QB jobs essentially open -- go in a different direction or are not a good fit, there is a strong expectation that Bridgewater would return to New Orleans.
Diehards Line:
Jacksonville is widely expected to sign Nick Foles and have also been connected to current Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill, who seems all but certain to be released by Miami. Bridgewater would be such a great fit for both the young QB and the Saints if they could "save" him to eventually replace Brees. But unless Brees gives some sort of assurance that he's going to play only one more year, Bridgewater is ready to be a starter now that he has proved he is healthy. He just needs an opportunity. We'll see if he gets that soon enough.
