The Facts: Speaking at the NFL Scouting Combine, GM Brian Gutekunst said he wants Jones on the field as much as possible. Gutekunst went on to note a lot will depend on what Jones accomplishes in strength and conditioning in the off-season.
Diehards Line:
The Packers placed Jones (MCL) on the injured reserve last December, ending his season. But Jones was impressive upon return from a two-game suspension to open the season and rushed for 728 yards and eight touchdowns on 133 carries and added 26 catches for 206 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown this season. Consider him the de facto RB1 in Green Bay with Jamaal Williams on hand to chip in as needed.
