The Facts:
Ertz has made the Pro Bowl twice in his six-year career, but he’s yet to actually play in the game. Last year, it was because the Eagles were playing in Super Bowl LII. This year, it’s because of the grind of an 18-game season.
Diehards Line:
Ertz told reporters during the Eagles locker room cleanout that he wasn’t playing at 100 percent down the stretch, though he wouldn’t reveal the injuries. But he didn’t miss a game and played a career-high 91.6 percent of snaps. He set a single-season record for tight ends, too, with 116 catches. The offseason starting a little early probably isn’t the worst thing for him. He was replaced by Austin Hooper of the Atlanta Falcons in last weekend's Pro Bowl..
