The Facts: Wentz has seen a noticeable dip in his playing time over the last two days. He hasn't participated in the last three 11-on-11 sessions. He has taken just 12 total team reps. By comparison he took 21 reps on the third day of camp alone. After practice HC Doug Pederson tried to ease concerns about Wentz and his recover from his injured ACL. "I am very encouraged with where he is at. What I saw last week is enough to ease my mind. I don't need to see him in 11-on-11. He is progressing extremely well. I don't want to subject him to any kind of setback or anything like that, I want to keep him progressive and moving forward. Those couple days we had with him, we were very excited."
Diehards Line:
Even with his limited reps Wentz had a very productive day of practice on Wednesday. He was much more accurate with the ball than he was earlier this week in practice. Wentz was also pretty sharp during the red zone drill he did take part in. Of his four passes he threw two went for touchdowns. ... We'll continue monitoring.
