The Facts: The Eagles held their third day of training camp on Saturday and Wentz took a big -- but risky -- step forward as he continues to recover from a torn ACL. Wentz took part in 11-on-11 drills with the first team offense on Saturday for the first time during training camp.
Diehards Line:
As NJ.com's Eliot Shorr-Parks suggested, the fact Wentz did so with the players in pads was particularity noteworthy as there was plenty of contact during the live team drills. Shorr-Parks went on to not that Wentz looked extremely comfortable in the pocket despite the live action around him. He did an excellent job maneuvering around any pressure that came his way. He showed no sign of injury during the multiple times he rolled out of the pocket and towards the sideline to throw the ball. Wentz even took some light contact to the knee at one point and while he didn't take part in 11-on-11 drills Sunday (the plan for that is formed on a week-to-week basis), but HC Doug Pederson agreed today when asked if you didn’t know Wentz was hurt you wouldn’t notice watching him.
