The Facts: Eifert’s sixth season with the Bengals got off to a false start at OTAs. Eifert, who only played in two games last year, suffered some sort of small setback at OTAs and was held out, with HC Marvin Lewis unsure of his availability for training camp. Ahead of training camp, Eifert took to social media and sang a more positive tune: "Back in Cincinnati for training camp and feeling great! Camp is a grind but I’m looking forward to it," Eifert posted on his Twitter feed.

Bringing him along slow was always the plan, though the setback earlier this offseason perhaps wasn’t part of it. Either way, the Bengals could use Eifert on the field fully this season as they attempt a rebound. He’s scored 18 touchdowns over the past three seasons, which is impressive considering he’s only played in 10 total games over the past two seasons. ... We'll continue to watch for more.
