The Facts: Over the past two seasons, Coleman has become one of Atlanta’s most versatile weapons on offense with his ability to not only make plays running the ball, but catching the ball as well. And according to Coleman, he’s about to get even more touches in the upcoming season. “They are just going to use me more. ... Lining up out wide and stuff,” Coleman said of his expectations for this year. “It’s going to be pretty fun.”

Coleman saw more carries last season under offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian. He rushed for 628 yards on 156 carries, 38 more carries than he saw in 2016. He was also used as a pass-catcher often, recording 27 catches for 299 yards. That number is could increase in 2018 with the emphasis HC Dan Quinn said they will be putting on using Coleman and Devonta Freeman more in various ways. Coleman and Freeman combined for 2,109 yards of total offense for the Falcons in 2017. Coleman is the Falcons’ homerun hitter with the ability to make one cut and break loose for explosive plays. We'll see if more opportunities turn into more of those big plays.
