The Facts: Enunwa signed his RFA tender today, per source.
Diehards Line:
Enunwa, coming off neck surgery for a bulging disc, has full range of motion and will be eased into all activities. But it appears he'll be back in the mix and HC Todd Bowles thinks Enunwa is capable of becoming a true No. 1 receiver -- something the Jets currently don't have, though Robby Anderson also has that potential. "[Enunwa] was working toward that," Bowles recently said. "We'll see where he is when he comes back." Enunwa, Anderson, Jermaine Kearse, and the newly signed Terrelle Pryor are the Jets' top receivers. But Anderson (941 yards and seven touchdowns last year) could have an NFL-imposed suspension hanging over his head, because of two arrests. Considering the Jets' uncertainty about the top end of their receiver depth chart, they would love if Enunwa could replicate (or exceed) his 2016 production -- 58 catches, team-best 857 yards, and four touchdowns.
