The Facts: Anderson's trial hearing for felony resisting arrest, scheduled for tomorrow in Miami, has been postponed again, according to court records. The new date is Aug. 6, when the Jets will be in training camp.
Diehards Line:As ESPN.com's Rich Cimini reminded readers, the charge stems from an arrest last May at a musical festival in Miami. The wide receiver also is facing felony charges from a separate arrest in January in Sunrise, Fla. He allegedly fled from police and threatened to sexually assault a police officer's wife. As Profootballtalk.com notes, the 24-year-old Anderson emerged as the Jets’ best receiver last year, catching 63 passes for 941 yards and seven touchdowns. Anderson has played in all 32 games since the Jets signed him as an undrafted rookie in 2016, but his off-field issues seem likely to result in a suspension in 2018.
