The Facts: According to a report from the Denver Post's Nicki Jhabvala, the Denver Broncos have put wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders on the trading block. And according to a report from SB Nation's Bobby Belt, Dallas might be Sanders' (a Houston native) preferred destination, if he is cut by Denver.
Diehards Line:
Sanders also attended Bellville High school and attended SMU, where he was earned second-team all-conference honors as a junior. ... While Sanders was the Broncos lone Pro Bowl representative this past season, the soon-to-be 31-year-old possession receiver has a decidedly unfriendly contract. In 2018, Sanders will count $11 million against the cap, according to Spotrack.com. The following season, that number will rise to $13 million. Sanders saw a massive drop-off in production this past season and he also struggled to stay healthy. Jhabvala's report indicated the Broncos have asked for a mid-to-late-round draft pick in return for Sanders' services, and that very few teams, if any, have shown interest. The Cowboys' best chance to land Sanders could be if the Broncos release him.
