The Facts: After acquiring him from the New Orleans Saints in October, the Cardinals will be moving on from Peterson, according to 98.7 FM Arizona's Sports Station's Mike Jurecki.
Diehards Line:Peterson appeared in six games in a Cardinals uniform, rushing for 448 yards and two touchdowns on 129 attempts. He also had nine receptions for 66 yards. His season was cut short after he was placed on injured reserve due to a neck injury he suffered against the Jaguars in Week 12. Peterson was acquired from the Saints in October in hopes of boosting the Cardinals’ struggling run game since David Johnson broke his wrist in the first game of the season against the Detroit Lions. Johnson will return at full health in 2018 under new HC Steve Wilks and OC Mike McCoy.
