The Facts: Eifert had a procedure done to remove a cyst from his knee, a source told ESPN's Dan Graziano.
Diehards Line:
Eifert is already on injured reserve after undergoing back surgery that ended his season. The back surgery was his second in consecutive years and third of his career. Eifert, 27, was the Bengals' first-round draft pick in 2013. He is in the final year of his rookie deal and is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent after the season unless the Bengals choose to use the franchise tag on him. Eifert said earlier in the season that he plans to rehab his back in Cincinnati and expects to make a full recovery. Eifert has played in 39 career games for Cincinnati and caught 127 passes for 1,537 yards and 20 touchdowns. His best season was in 2015, when he had 13 touchdowns and made the Pro Bowl. However, Eifert has never played a full 16-game season in Cincinnati due to various injuries.
