Diehards Line:
As AJC beat man D. Orlando Ledbetter reminded readers, Jones had a bunion, a bony bump on his left foot that caused him to miss substantial practice time late last season, surgically removed in March. He was limited for the first five practices of training camp. Ledbetter added that Jones ran well and blocked as he was in on mostly running plays. “That’ was good to see,” Quinn said. “We knew he was moving back closer. We knew the first four-day block was going to be all individual and getting the conditioning right. The Falcon open play in the exhibition season with a game against Miami on Aug. 10. Jones will likely be held out of that game. Still, it's good to see him getting some work in already.
