The Facts: HC Hue Jackson raised some eyebrows on Sunday when he was asked if Johnson is spending time in wide receivers meetings. "No, he stays with me," Jackson said. "He is with me all of the time." Everywhere? "Wherever he goes," Johnson said Monday. "Make all our rounds."
Diehards Line:
It makes sense, considering Jackson and his offensive staff are counting on the third-year running back to do a lot of different things for the offense. As Plain Dealer staffer Dan Labbe suggests, the best way to define Johnson's first two seasons in the league is that he is mostly undefined. He's carried the ball 177 times in his 32 games and has caught 114 passes on 148 targets. He's added in 17 punt returns and a kickoff return. Last season, he ran the ball 73 times and added 53 catches. The real struggle for Johnson, though -- and honestly, for the Browns in general -- has been finding the end zone. He has scored just three touchdowns, including only one on the ground. Last season he scored just once. ... We'll be looking for signs that's going to change come September.
