The Facts: HC Sean McDermott was quick to outline a plan that has been in place for top Watkins heading into the team's training camp practice schedule. With the assistance of head athletic trainer Shone Gipson, his staff and the coaching staff there is a going to be a guarded approach in building Watkins up to a full workload. "We've put together a rep count that will build up and at times come down a little bit just based off of the plan from the outset," said McDermott. "But we've got to be flexible with that and see how he feels and that starts tonight."
Diehards Line:
We'll be watching Watkins' progress closely in coming weeks, Remember, as ESPN's Mike Clay recently pointed out, Watkins has averaged 7.8 targets per game (27 percent share) during the 32 games in which he has played at least 70 percent of the pass-play snaps. Watkins was fantasy's No. 7 scoring wide receiver during the 11 weeks that fit that bill in 2015. Assuming he's healthy, there's no reason to believe he won't continue to enjoy a similar workload and will compile similar production numbers.
