The Facts: Allison has been suspended for the first game regular season for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.
Diehards Line:
Allison worked his way into the rotation until midseason last year despite leading the team in receiving last preseason (with 119 yards on six catches). The Packers promoted Allison to the active roster before their trip to Atlanta, and he produced immediately with a touchdown against the Falcons. He finished the regular season with 12 catches for 202 yards and two touchdowns, including a team-high 91 yards and a touchdown on four catches when the Packers clinched the NFC North title at Detroit in their finale. According to the Green Bay Press-Gazette, at his best, Allison has Marques Colston-type potential as a big, powerful receiver. Of course, missing a game could set him back again this year.
