Snead has participated in the Saints' offseason program and practices this spring despite not being under contract, but he's hoping that status will change before training camp, though it's not on the top of his mind. "The guys upstairs are handling it," he said. "My agent is handling it right now, so right now I'm just focusing on coming in and out of practice every day healthy. I'm just trying to attack this summer and get ready for training camp."

Diehards Line: The 24-year-old receiver is an exclusive rights free agent, and the Saints tendered him the standard one-year minimum deal of $615,000 back in March before the NFL's deadline. However, Snead did not sign the offer because he's hoping for a multi-year deal to stay in New Orleans. In two seasons with the Saints, Snead has 141 receptions for 1,879 yards and seven touchdowns. He'll likely have a bigger role this year after the team traded Brandin Cooks, and Snead said he's hoping to have more opportunities to show he can be a deep threat, too.
