The Facts: Thomas said Tuesday he spent early part of offseason getting his hips healthy. The wideout said he didn't need surgery, but needed time to get back to 100 percent. Thomas added while it bothered him for much of the 2016 season he doesn't think it would be a problem in the coming year. "I'll be on top of it."
Diehards Line:
Remember, Thomas is coming off a Pro Bowl season in which he caught 90 passes and eclipsed 1,000 receiving yards for the fifth consecutive season. But all involved expect more of the star wideout. Thomas ranked third in the league with seven dropped passes and his receptions, yards and touchdowns were his lowest since 2011, so there's room for improvement. “I want 88 to be a dominant player all the time,” Vance Joseph said during the recent NFL Owners Meeting. “I don’t want him to ease into games. I want him to be a guy to step out. It’s time.” Fantasy owners won't complain about a higher bar. The question is whether Thomas will have the level of QB play to help him get over it.
