The Facts: Cadet is staying with Saints after considering the Jets and Bills, a source tells Chronicle staffer Aaron Wilson.
Diehards Line:
The 6-1, 210-pound Cadet is likely to resume his role as one of Saint's top receiving threats out of the backfield. He totaled 40 catches for 281 yards in 2016, which ranked as the second-most among the running backs behind Mark Ingram, who totaled 46 catches for 319 yards. As the New Orleans Times-Picayune notes, while the Saints signed wide receiver Ted Ginn, who can return punts and kicks, Cadet can offer another option as a kickoff returner. He recorded a team-high 10 kickoff returns for 144 yards, averaging 14.4 yards per attempt.
