The Facts: According to ESPN's Field Yates, Ertz has restructured his contract to give the Eagles some additional cap space.
Diehards Line:
Yates reports the Eagles have turned $3.225 million of Ertz's base salary this season into a roster bonus, which will save $2.58 million in much-needed cap room. Ertz was set to have a $4 million base salary in 2017 with a cap hit of $5.6 million. This move will essentially just spread out the cap hit over a longer period of time. For Ertz, it just means he's getting his money now.
