The Facts: Seferian-Jenkins was off to a terrific start last season with seven catches for 139 yards and two touchdowns in his first two games. But in that second game, against the Saints, Seferian-Jenkins was hit by safety Kenny Vaccaro and injured his right shoulder falling into the end zone. Seferian-Jenkins won't reveal the exact nature of the injury. It is believed to have been something that required surgery and would have put most players immediately on injured reserve.
Diehards Line:
Seferian-Jenkins did not go on injured reserve. He did, however, miss the next 10 weeks before returning. Why did he bother to come back? "I wanted to win, bro," Seferian-Jenkins said. He played the final five games of 2015 and added 14 catches for 199 yards and two touchdowns. If you project that over a full 16-game season, Seferian-Jenkins would have put up 48 catches for 775 yards. Those numbers would be more than serviceable. Still, Seferian-Jenkins has missed so many games as he's played in since being drafted in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft. If he can get past the injury issues, however, ASJ could emerge as a solid value play as a TE2.
