The Facts: Sanders revealed Monday that his left ankle injury is a high ankle sprain.
Diehards Line:Sanders sat out Sunday's 17-15 win over the Bears in an effort to get 100 percent healthy. He said he could have played, but people around him convinced him he would be a detriment to himself and the team if he went out there in his current state. "It's kind of like when you have a flat tire," Sanders said. "I'm a speed guy, right? So it's ideal for me to have all of my speed." Sanders was questionable to play against the Bears, but says he was still in a lot of pain. "Today was the first day I got up and didn't limp out of bed," Sanders said. He said he is hopeful he will play Sunday against New England, but how he practices during practice will have a big impact on how he moves forward.
