The Facts: According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Browns are signing Bowe.
Diehards Line:This falls into line with expectations. Bowe became available after he was released by the Chiefs last week. The Browns have a huge hole at wide receiver following Josh Gordon's latest suspension. Cleveland signed Brian Hartline, but still needs a No. 1-type talent at the position. The question, of course, is whether Bowe is still that player. The veteran is years removed from his 15-touchdown breakout season with the Chiefs in 2010. He's coming off a down year in which he had just 754 yards without scoring a touchdown. But change and opportunity can be difference makers for players. We'll see if the Browns can get the QB play necessary, whether it's from Josh McCown or Johnny Manziel. Set your expectations accordingly, however, based on what we know about both QBs at this point.
