The Facts: The Panthers have found a speed receiver and proven returner – a two-for-the-price-of-one addition who is familiar with the organization. Ginn, who played with the Panthers during their division-winning 2013 season, is in Charlotte and is expected to sign with the team on Monday, according to a league source.
Diehards Line:
Ginn, 29, also has drawn interest from Tennessee and his home-state Browns since Arizona cut him last month following a disappointing season with the Cardinals. Ginn was coming off a three-year stint with San Francisco when he joined the Panthers as a low-cost signing two years ago. Besides bolstering the return game, Ginn caught 36 passes for 556 yards, and established career highs with a 15.4 yards-per-catch average and five receiving touchdowns.
