Gonzalez Skips Wednesday's Practice...
According to the Topeka Capital-Journal, Tony Gonzalez missed a Wednesday practice for the second week in a row, but the Pro Bowl tight end is expected to play Sunday.

Last week it was a sore knee that kept Gonzalez out of the Wednesday workout. This week he has a sore ankle to go with his sore knee, though head coach Dick Vermeil said he would have played had the Chiefs had a game Wednesday.

Also of interest. ...

Fullback Tony Richardson will play this week for the first time without the soft cast he's worn on his left hand sinking breaking his thumb early in training camp.

Though Richardson had two touches in the San Diego game, he has not worked extensively on catching the ball. Vermeil said the Chiefs hope to expand Richardson's role as a runner/receiver now that the cast is off.

And finally. ... The Chiefs signed wide receiver Curtis Jackson, who went to camp with the club, and released receiver Chris Horn.
